As all the votes in the 2016 are finally counted, some unusual votes are being reported. Every presidential election, voters fed up the process or who want to use election day to play a prank cast a write-in vote for a silly candidate who's name is not on the ballot. More than 1,200 voters in Osceola County, Arkansas chose to give their votes to pop culture candidates like Batman or Mickey Mouse. Other popular write in candidates were Kanye West and Bernie Sanders.

Donald J. Trump posted on his Twitter account on Sunday: "In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally ." As many news media countered, this statement had zero evidence to support it.

But in trying to refute his huge loss in the popular vote and in trying to call a vote recount useless, Trump himself called into question the validity of the presidential election.

If there were illegal votes, shouldn't there be a recount?
