Alyssa Milano is helping the world realize the extent of sexual harassment with her #MeToo campaign on Twitter.

Actor Alyssa Milano first tweeted encouraging women who’d been sexually harassed or assaulted to use the hashtag #MeToo.

Since that post, the hashtag was used in 1.2 million Tweets and women around the world are using it to share their stories of harassment. The hashtags range from France’s #BalanceTonPorc – “rat out your pig,” to the Spanish #YoTambien, #QuellaVoltaChe or "that time" in Italy, #גםאנחנו in Hebrew and #MoiAussi in parts of Canada.
